Refresh Bristol, East Street

This Bedminster-based Christian charity/cafe was set up to bring positive improvement to the lives of the marginalised and wider populations of Bedminster and South Bristol.  Providing work experience to the unemployed, assisting people in developing social and practical skills, providing free food for those who are homeless and in food poverty, the Refresh Cafe is one of the regions most vital.

Marks Bread, North Street

Local legend Mark has been making bread in BS3 since 2009 and his award winning bakery and cafe is now a Bedminster institution and you can find Mark’s bread all over the city…. you may even see him delivering his bread on his bicycle

Clark’s Pies

The story of Clark’s Pies starts a hundred years ago in Cardiff, where Mary Clark, the mother of nine children, worked as a housekeeper for a wealthy family. In 1929 Mary’s son Percy decided to branch out to Bristol, six years later he moved to new premises on North Street… the rest is History.  

Hobbs House Bakery, North Street

Hobbs House Bakery was established in the Cotswolds in the 1920’s and they are a true family business with five generations of baking experience and are now bringing up the sixth generation of aspiring bakers!


Parsons, North Street

West Street Carol Service

The annual West Street Carol Service takes place on Tuesday 18th December

Head on down to West Street for a traditional festive carol service with the Bedminster Citadel Salvation Army Band.

The service starts at 6pm and will take place outside Mezzaluna on West Street. There'll be plenty of music and festive ditties to sing along too, as well as deliciously warming mulled wine from Mezzaluna and Mince Pies from Tesco.

DEAN LANE SKATE PARK

Bemmy has long been the go to place for skaters in Bristol. The Deaner is one of the UK's original skateparks from way back when skating first hit these shores in the 70'sThis Bemmy landmark is made up of hipped flat banks with ramps, curved banks, bowled corners and a large pump bump. There's also a mini ramp with a bowled edge and open side. On a summer afternoon pop past and catch some graff artists at work as well as skaters pulling some rad moves.
