Bedminster Lantern Parade 2017
The return of the Bedminster Winter Lantern Parade
The Bedminster Winter Lantern Parade is back and this year it promises to be bigger and brighter than ever.
Starting on North Street then heading to Cannon Street, British Road and South Street the Lantern Parade is always a highlight of the year and an event you should not miss!
Each autumn, the lantern building projects start in local schools and community centres across Bedminster. Assisted by experienced artists, the lantern teams come from schools and community groups from across south Bristol, making sure that everybody from the elderly to the very young are involved in this community festival.
And every December, over 3,000 people fill the streets of BS3 to watch a truly spectacular procession of around 1500 people and thousands of illuminated lanterns, accompanied by some seriously shimmy-inducing musicians.
The #bemmylanterns team is a not for profit bunch supported by the Bedminster BID and a group of other sponsors and supporters, along with proceeds from our various fundraising activities.
So! If you have any questions, want to get involved or just feel like saying hello, head tohttp://site.bwlp.org.uk/.
