Calling all girl gamers!

Grrrrl Games and Bristol Women’s Voice are holding inspiring free game design workshops in Bedminster on Saturday 20th and 27th October 2018.

The gaming design project works with young women and girls aged between 13-18 who are looking to break into the world of game design. Supported by Bristol Women’s Voice, the workshops use Bristol Suffragette stories to inspire young girls to design and build their own computer games. The workshops will be hosted by Dr Constance Fleuriot, a writer and game developer who creates spaces that encourage more young women to join the gaming world.

Taking place each Saturday at the Acta Community Centre between 1pm-3pm, the workshops are free and open to all girls aged between 13-18. The project is aimed at anyone who enjoys drawing, writing stories, recording sounds and playing games. Other workshops are happening in local schools at lunchtime and after school.
